Posts: 39 Group: Member Member #29,535 Joined: Sep 24 2011	Ah, NICO - the next "AKFG" of the decade. I might say this band is one of my favorite Japanese bands besides AKFG, SCANDAL and ect. NICO somehow drugged me and made me got addicted to them. I personally believe it was the lead singer's voice that lead me into the light. That, and the rhythm of each song was addicting too. For example their "The Bungy" was somewhat like a country song -- except they used their own personal taste to mix it around. I started listening to this band after their song "Broken Youth" came out (from Naruto Shippuden ending). As a FMA: Brotherhood fan, I also found out they sang the second opening "Hologram" and reverted back to Naruto again, revealing another song "Diver." I have no idea how I ever got addicted, but the lead singer (Tatsuya-san!) just has such a strong voice, it impacts the band and their songs. He also puts a lot of emotion. Even during live performances, these guys can rock! Their lives sound exactly like their recorded songs - no lip singing all. They perform with their hearts out which makes them unique. "Diver" seems like the most popular song reaching 7 on the Oricon charts because it has such strong message. So, are there any hardcore NICO fans like me? :rolleye P.S. I wish I could play guitar like Daisuke .__.

'I want to fly well Posts: 353 Group: Global Moderator Member #3,896 Joined: Aug 24 2007	ahem self-proclaimed hardcore NICO stan here! :cool Love the band so freakin' much, you wouldn't believe, haha. I'm glad they're getting more recognition now, especially after the haul of things they did last year after they switched to A-Sketch. I'm the same, I got into them after hearing 'Broken Youth' - literally fell in love with Micchan's voice when I first heard that song. Though, I have to admit my love for them escalated when I watched videos of their lives - one of the very few bands where I love their lives more than their original CD recordings. I just love how fun their lives on and how on point Micchan is with his vocals, haha. Plus, Daisuke's awesome guitar playing. <3 And not forgetting the muraxmura moment whenever they play 'THE BUNGY' now~ xD Honestly, you haven't heard NICO for what they really are until you've watch a live video of them - personally think that their original recordings don't do justice to how passionate, energetic and fun they really are when they play live.
