That might boost their sales for the week. @@ Don't worry about the first day sales that much. I mean, It's My Life / Your Heaven sold more than HELLO on the first day, but the latter ended up crossing the 100k mark while IML stopped selling at 88k. :) Let's hope that this single will have some chart longevity and sell more than HELLO in the long run. :D
IMO, sales nowadays don't really tell how 'good' a single or album is, but rather the amount of dedicated fans that artist/group has. I mean, look at the idol groups. Their music definitely isn't anything ground-breaking or amazingly brilliant yet they sell so much. :P Eh, I admit that I'm one of those who didn't buy the single to save up for the album. I'm so sorry YUI! T_T |

No matter what you say im pretty dissapointed But once again this is not YUIs fault. The geniouses in her management do an amazingly crappy job. Beside SOL she didnt give any interviews in radio, im not sure about this but i think lets face it was never heard by non-fans either. Delayed TV performances too... And remember CDTV was recorded about a month ago... Music japan? Was it recorded already? Why do they enjoy keeping all these secrets? |

Yeah, they release it too early, sum fan already hv it online from pv *if u know what i mean* but for us, true fan, the excitement getting the original is totally different... I`m oso disappointed as I thought the single is available in Sony China after all the promotion there right??? :rolleye |

Who's SUPER GIRLS?! :what Good God I didn't keep up with the Jpop music scene for a few months and there's already a new girls group replacing AKB48?! Has Japan now become like South Korea where they are releasing new girl group every season? Second place seems pretty good to me but pity it isn't first place. Hopefully YUI will stay in the charts for a long time. |

Hopefully, YUI can close the gap before the week is over. SUPER GiRLS' drop is smaller than I expected, and YUI suffered from quite a big one. @@ Previous singles second day sales: It's My Life / Your Heaven - 18,093 HELLO ~Paradise Kiss~ - 15,501 Tbh this is disappointing. its not that her popularity is decreasing ... its simply because 1.the international trend of recording media selling is indeed decreasing because of internet free leaking everywhere, in Japan its get worst with the 'Korea invasion' which make the promotion and selling competition even harder 2.some YUI fans already know that in November in 90% chance they will get new album, so some keep their money for it 3.lack of Sorny media anouncement/ promotion? |

Even so... HELLO ~Paradise Kiss~ had a nice promotion and it didn't even reached 70k, 80k by the end of the week, which was such a common think for YUI to reach these number of sales. And even with the 'Korea Invasion", I think that YUI's fans there in Japan wouldn't stop supporting her. I mean, if they bought her singles/albums even before Korean singers would get even more popular, they'd still keep buying them now. But I guess you're right about the leaking singles/albums thing. Well, I just want to believe that they are saving money for her album, 'cause everybody thought that Green a.live would get better results. |

I think most people are saving money for the album. Not enough promo as well... Green a.live is such a great single.. i was positive it would reach really high~! But oh well.. still congrats to YUI for being able to be on top always by her own. |

It feels like this is practically only being purchased by fans. I think its a real waste such a good song will pass "unnoticed" in maistream media. I was hoping this song could become an anthem to Japan's rebirth. Instead of taking advance of the 3.11 video they just deleted it. Great move Sony, great move. |

Same here, but then again, I don't think it's fair to make such analyses outside of Japan. Given today's downloading scene, popularity on the radio doesn't really translate into more sales, in the end, it's usually the fans who buy the music while the general public just listens to it on the radio or downloads it, don't you think? Even if Green a.live did, or eventually becomes, the anthem for rebirth, we won't really know yet and it probably won't be reflected in the first week of sales, but possibly in the total sales eventually. And since to me sales isn't the important factor here, I won't judge so soon. I'm more concerned about how many people this song reaches, and if it managed to reach the hearts of the victims in Tohoku, I don't expect them to buy the CD. |

Kiki i think you meant 3.11 not 9.11 >__< lol we'll see over the next few days how sales goes but i'm still not super concerned about it. I do wish there was more promotional campaigns for this song...Sony should really give it a shot and spend a little more time with promoting her music. YUI's got a consistent fan base and seems to target a niche market of people...maybe they aren't taking the risks with it.... Maybe when the album comes out they may pick up the single with it too...but yeah....so far congrats again to YUI for her achievements~! |

I don't know if this is necessarily reflective of the song or promotion. There is alot of financial insecurity right now. Between bad economies and the earthquake and tsuname people are getting conservative with their money. Let's just watch and see how it all plays out. I'm certain this is not reflective of YUI's popularity ... I'm sure it is a strong as ever .... with this song, probably stronger than ever. |
