Well, I'm gonna use google translator too, because my lenguage is spanish. So I'll try to explain this as well as I can. I don't think YUI, with It's my life pv, have change her simplicity for money, for the simple reason that she don't reach more sales than with the past singles. In the other hand I've always thought that YUI makes music because she likes it, and she is happy when she sings, so I think she doesn't care about the money. You must have in consideration that YUI is working for a label, she have a contract, and the labels can be very demanding sometimes, so you have to think that not everything is up to YUI. For me, YUI is always YUI, no matter what type of music or video she does. I don't know if this is write correctly, but I've tried. :sry |

With all due respect, I think your comments border on sexism (women must be protected cause they are weak and blah blah) Maybe is just my impression,and if so, sorry for misunderstand your words. I know it's very easy to idealize a person you don't know, but if YUI has succeeded in achieving her dreams is because she is a mature, strong and determinated person, that's why I respect her and her decisions. Well, all we fans actually care about, or CAN care about is her music. You can go ahead and feel sad, or sorry for her or whatever, but we are absolutely in no place or position to... well not to say interfere... "think" about her personal life? I don't know which word to use -.-'' Everyone's got their own life and troubles, and I believe YUI is strong enough to face them herself. Her lyrics have never been weak, no? IMHO, I think we fans should just focus on her music, give her support, period. Her personal life or problems are non of our business. (Though I kind of WANT it to be my business XD ) So what if YUI is sad or happy today? I'm sure she can pull through her days no sweat. I am sure YUI is significant to all YLers here, I believe that it is different for every single one of us. I respect your perception on what YUI means to you but I would not elaborate on that since I believe that it is beyond my ability to comprehend what YUI means to you and how you will respond to various situations. To me, "LOVE" is something that is constantly changing and it requires one to explore and discover what "LOVE" means to them. From young, one may feel that the simple act of holding your hand means "LOVE". As one grows up, one will learn other means of affection or have a different perspective on "LOVE" depending on the influence by the surrounding environment and the individual's interpretation. C'mon, dude! We all know that it's not everyday that one wakes up happy, giving flowers to everyone... sometimes, when I wake up I wanna kick something or cry my eyes out... this happens to everybody and surely it might happen to YUI too. The point is that she's a strong person and goes on even if she feels sad... and this is what she tries to teach us with her songs...
I couldn't agree more! She looks really happy nowadays and I feel happy for her too. So don't take things too serious... cheer up! :P |

perhaps you've over analyzed and thought about this a lot and I appreciate how you adore YUI in the way that you do...it's quite unique but how you have portrayed your thoughts on YUI being a sad person is quite a bold statement to make to a YUI fan forum that supports YUI. We all have our own interpretations of how or why we like YUI but none of us know her on a personal level. And ya okay maybe we shouldn't judge a book by its cover and maybe deep down she may be sad but nobody knows except herself. plus sadness, happiness, joy, love, etc. are all human emotions. YUI is just like any other human being like you or me. But just like you've said, we don't know your life story and NONE of us know what YUI is going through either but what we do know is her passion for music and that she's able able to create music for herself, for an audience for whatever.....as long as she's doing what she loves and is committed like how she has been that makes me feel good. Its interesting how you've labelled yourself with a 'sad personality' but DON'T let that define who you are. We've got one life and we're bound experience different stages of growth and go through tons of emotional rollecoaster rides ....just like what YUI's first tour motto was LIVE LIFE LOVE!!! |

I'm sorry but I actually agree with Satoshy a little. I did create a post not too long ago about YUI's facial expressions during the MSta It's My Life performance (and now that I've seen the other IML lives, a little in those too, but mostly in the MSta one), where I commented that she looked as if she was holding back tears even during the performance. While on the whole, it's true that YUI has become very cheerful and lively (as seen in her recent diary entry about taking walks, and her excitement about her 6th year anniversary and DVD release), but I think satoshy isn't wrong in voicing his concerns for an idol. Well, it's true that even if she IS having some troubles, we can't really do anything about it, but what's wrong with being concerned? IMHO, YUI didn't want to do It's My Life at all. or at least not in the way it turned out. Either that, or she's intentionally trying out a new style but ended up feeling that it's not that suitable for herself after all. I say this because it seems to me that all that smiling and happiness oozing out from IML is not genuine, but rather forced. Once again, you may disagree, but this are my feelings especially from the stark contrast between YH and IML, and to go further, comparing two upbeat songs CHE.R.RY and IML: YH and CHE.R.RY just feel much more natural and genuine. Another thing that sort of gives this away is THE WINK. Ok one time in the PV it was a nice surprise. Then you realise that it occurs at the same part of the song in every LIVE performance. My opinion? someone got her to do it. Why do I think so? all the girl groups (korean and japanese) are doing this now, and i doubt that YUI gives a shit about what the girl groups are doing so someone must have suggested this to her. Maybe she came up with it on her own, but sometimes she seems just awkward doing it on purpose, so I doubt that she's winking because she feels like it, but because she HAS to. That's the trouble with the music industry: you're probably happy when you write a happy song, you're not necessarily happy every time you perform it, but the audience doesn't care coz you had better look happy when you perform a happy song no matter how shitty the day, the week or the month has been for you. That's where the emotional burden starts to set in: having to force yourself to look your best on demand, and bottling up any frustrations/fatigue/sadness etc that you feel. I think Satoshy had a similar perspective as I did about It's My Life, that somehow she just didn't look like she was genuinely enjoying herself. But no matter, because now all the promotions for IML/YH are over and she's moved on to the next production. The YUI now definitely seems more upbeat than the YUI pre-IML/YH (seriously she looked so tired all the time), and that's good news for all of us. But let's not diss what Satoshy said, it's perfectly fine to show some concern for an idol you admire (for him, maybe love). |

FR Ce n'est pas une reponse mais une conclusion ^^ Je suis Satoshy, ce n'est pas mon nom, mais ma vie, mon reve, mon amour, mon grand secret c'est Satoshy Je suis ne la nuit reliant le jeudi 18 aout au vendredi 19 aout 1988 (Je n'est jamais celebre mon anniversaire, parce que le meme jour, mon grand-pere est mort .... non, il a ete tue pour ce monde qui vaut rien .....) --- C'est ma decision et pas une autre personne --- reves Je vis ma vie pour mon seul reve, et mon reve est ma vie, parce que ma vie sans mon reve est rien ... Je ne suis pas tres intelligent, et pas tres stupide Je ne suis pas tres grand, et pas tres petit, Je suis tres normal et tres moyennes, dans tous ... ^^ J'ai vu YUI pour la premiere fois en 2008, et ma premiere penser a ete "c'est une tres belle fille ..... trop belle pour moi" C'etait ma premiere penser de YUI ... ^ ^ Ma vie a change depuis .... le visage de YUI complete mon ame, mon reve, mon corps, ... tout en moi ... Alors je decide de changer ma vie pour YUI YUI est Unique pour moi, j'ai peur de vivre une vie sans YUI, Je prefere aller en enfer avec YUI, plutot que d'aller au paradis sans YUI ... Je vais suivre partout ou YUI ira C'est ma resolution ... et je suis tetu dans ma resolution ... Tout le monde a raison de me dire, le premier message de YUI pour tout le monde est "vivre une vie heureuse" Elle a dit ce message, meme si elle n'est pas tres heureuse; pour le moment, Mais ce n'est pas important pour vous, parce que YUI sourir tous les jours ... Je dit just mon avis et je n'ai pas peur de vos commentaire, j'accepte tous vos avis bref ... la vie est tres courte, et je vis ma vie pour Mon reve ... C'est difficile ? oui C'est long d'attendre ? oui Je crains de ne pas reussir ? oui Oui, oui, oui et oui ... Il n'y a pas de mots pour expliquer mes sentiments en ce moment ... Mais je suis decide, je vie ma vie pour mon reve ... Do not forget guys that YUI had a lot of time to think about this when she was having her hiatus. YUI had the choice to quit, to go back to the Indie industry. But after looking at the pros and cons she decided to stay in the mainstream media despite all the "uglyness" of the bussines. This is HER CHOICE! nobody is forcing her to do anything. Like with any other job in the world, there will be things you will like to do, and there will be things you will HATE to do. But that's just life. I'm pretty sure YUI loves what she does, and the stupid winking its just a little detail. Was YUI uncomfortable dressing like that and winking all the time? Maybe she was indeed fucking uncomfortable doing that. But it was something she know it could come eventually and she decided to do it anyway. I still believe she is more than 90% happy, and thats a lot more of what you emo guys can say about yourselves. Do you know how I know that? Her songs make me feel happy and optimistic, her music fills me with motivation to do new things! That's a part of YUI's soul projecting itself through music to my heart.
