help!! i cant open avi.001 file!!

 I had a BIG problem to open this avi.001 file!!! :weirdpc
How can i open avi.001 file? :cry
It is need a player for it? :rolleye
Anyone can help? :please

 that file's been split to many parts.
use hjsplit to join them

 let say in my folder have 3 file divx.001,divx.002 and divx.003
then i open the hjsplit,and click "join".
but it doesnt show the file i want to "change" it.

and before using hjsplit,i can play divx.001 file in my own player,but cant play divx.002 and divx.003.

so how?

 of curs it wont play the rest of the split files.

make sure they have the same file name and in the same folder.

when u tick join, a pop up will show, the purple one
then click input file (the one with a filename divx.001) only that file will show, Hjsplit will read the rest of the file.. like .002 .003 and so on.

then u have to set a directory for ur output file, lets say in ur desktop. then click start.
it'll appear in ur desktop and wait for a couple of mins. it wont take long...

well depends on the file size :clap

 same name,in a same folder.
as u say i already click the only one can show.
and set another file in desktop.
wait few mins.
after it complete.
i check the file.
then,it help me convert divx.001 file only.

convert divx.001 only :cry

*before convert:
divx.001 and divx.003 is "001 & 003 file"
then, divx.002 is avi file
is this the problem? maybe? :rolleye

OR like u say the file is damage :what

Right click on .001 file, and extract here.

its the same as extracting the file... just look for .7z (when u right click)

after u extract/joined them... try watching the whole show :clap

 In Xtremsplit, you put "coller" first (second little circle), you click on "S" and select the .001 file", you click on "D" to choose the emplacement of the video and you click on "coller" at the bottom and it's finish. tell me if it's ok or not ?

 dun highlight, just right click on the .001 file, just like extracting.
have u use winrar or winzip? same operation...

 You right click Title_02.avi.001, 7-Zip > Extract here. Done.

Just select .001 only, not everything. If this doesn't work, your file(s) is corrupt.
