la la la~ la la~ with you-ou-ou...~ Posts: 290 Group: YUI Lovers Member #274 Joined: Mar 1 2006	Does anyone know how to rip a video from a DVD that came with YUI's cd? I have Can't Buy My Love, so they got 4 old PVs on it, and I'd like it in my computer...but I don't actually know if it's possible to rip it with the Audio and Video file thing. >_> Anyone know whether it's possible or not?

Posts: 3,210 Group: Admin Member #2,051 Joined: Dec 26 2006	So you finally opened your CBML? lol Someone already ripped the DVD files for playback on the computer in this thread: http://yui-lover.com/index.php?showtopic=3646 They are direct copy of DVD files so they are relatively big in size. But it's YUI, so it's worth keeping it at the highest quality possible. Btw, this should be under YUI Media Request section also.

In other words, he wants to be able to rip it onto his computer for his own content. He's not asking for the download or anyone else's files. So I'm guessing he doesn't want to download what he already has. You should be able to help him even though because you're good at that stuff. =P Off topic: Panukeku I want to read the next chapter to your fanfic. LOL. I can't believe not much people commented on it. Your last chapter was great btw.

Posts: 3,210 Group: Admin Member #2,051 Joined: Dec 26 2006	The programs you'll need are DVDDecrypter and Super Converter. First you'll use DVDDecrypter to rip each chapter (each PV) into each DVD type VOB files. You can keep the VOB file as is and play it with any computer programs that plays regular DVDs (such as PowerDVD or WinDVD). If you want it in AVI or something, then you can use Super Converter to convert it. I can give further instructions on how to do it, but it'll get long ... very long. It's just since someone already done it and it's gonna be the same thing, it is much easier just to download it if you don't know how. P.S. la la la~ la la~ with you-ou-ou...~ Posts: 290 Group: YUI Lovers Member #274 Joined: Mar 1 2006	@s0l: Uhhhh...that's EXACTLY the things, I wanted it in AVI...how did you know? xD;; I saw that link, the thing is...I didn't exactly know what a VOB file was, and then I couldn't play it with my VLC (computer turd) and anything I can't play with WMP or VLC = not...workable for me? Anyways, I really was looking for exactly AVIs. So basically, download something called Super Converter, the VOB files on the other link and then I can convert it into AVI, right? (Sorry, must make clear because I am computer insensitive. :rolleyes: ps. Yes, I actually opened my album right away and gawked at the CD, though I almost never play it often for obvious reasons. I just CAN NOT keep my YUI stuff in wrappers- I really don't understand how my other friend does it...shrugs @justanotherYUIlover: Hi, xD and incidentally, I'm making a new chapter right. now. O.O. Posts: 3,210 Group: Admin Member #2,051 Joined: Dec 26 2006	Yeah, just download Super converter (http://www.erightsoft.com/SUPER.html), use the VOB files you downloaded (which is the same as those ripped from the DVD), and select a good quality AVI for output. P.S. I still have mine in wrappers because I pretty much downloaded all the songs and the DVD content. There's no need to ruin the album that is still in perfect condition.

I don't feel good about it either...especially when a few of my guy friends are like ...these... computer...techie....people... Say, I know this is asking for a lot, but if you have the spare time, could you upload the PVs in AVI format in the media section? I'll post a request for AVI pvs now there, but I thought I'd leave a message here too. PS. Still in wrappers?! Maybe it's just me- I can't resist oogling at the pages and the REAL CD. Right there. I mean... I know some people just give me "It's for good quality/IT'S PRECIOUS" speech....but I just can't resist. :sry Anyways, thanks again!
