Great thread Hillshire!
:P Posted Image Hmm, mine doesn't quite compare to your real Fender XD Mine's a Squier Affinity Stratocaster as picture. The online picture is much nicer than any photo I could take. Body: Alder Fingerboard: Rosewood, 21F Pickups: 3 Single coil pickups, cheap since its a Squier ahah :swt Controls: Master Volume, Tone 1. (Neck Pickup), Tone 2. (Middle Pickup) Bridge: Synchronised Tremelo I've got a Fender CD-220SCE Bubinga on order, its one of the acoustic Fenders. http://www.guitartrader.com/itm_img/AGFNVV-CD220BUB-f.jpg I've spammed that link so much XD I just love that guitar even though I've never met her. I'll get a proper electric someday. I've only been playing for about 5-6 months so starting with a cheap one is good. Makes you appreciate what true quality is. |

My first guitar was a middle of the range YAMAHA Acoustic that was lying around the house cos my brother had stopped playing it. I cant remember the model. It's currently residing in my sister's house. Next, I got a US Fender 40th Anniversary Edition Strat. Sunburst. Then I got an Ibanez SR700 series bass. ... Maton EM325C ... ... Taylor 814CE I only brought the Taylor to Japan, but I'm visiting home next month, so I might bring another 1 back. Or I might buy another electric (maybe a Gibson or PRS). I'm also considering buying a Warwick/Musicman bass. Sorry no links/pics. Too lazy ... :P |

I always assume Yui used a Fender tele. I can't believe she'd use a Squier. Even the top of the range Squier aren't anything compared with Fenders
 She deserves better! :P I was wondering why br4d137's GA45 SCE looked different, its not the natural one  I think the natural one looks much nicer. I like the natural woody look of guitars. Posted Image Posted Image Posted Image Fender CD-220SCE Bubinga. My future guitar, I love that thing!! <3 XD |

Hi guys, This is my first guitar which i bought about two months ago. It's a Fender Standard Strat HSS. The versatility of stratocasters is what first attracted me to them. It depends on the model. MARTIN DX1 is not that expensive. Just a little less expensive than a Takamine Pro series. When I said : (whouaw, I have just quoted myself !) It was irony of course. I think he is a di** head. Koizumi was more intelligent than he, from a far....[/color] |

Heh... for a second there, I thought that Bush's guitar could be a Taylor. Grand Auditorium Shape; Same Cutaway; White skirting down the neck; Headstock is almost the same with gold tuning pegs, and the shape is "almost" the same; But, the name on the headstock seems too long; No pickguard. Meh, who knows? ______________________________________ Yep, guitars are in Australia are way expensive. (Although I did manage to get all but 1 of my guitars tax free, they've since changed the law. I did get that one at close to cost though) Unfortunately, it's all about who you know. I saved more than A$1300 off my Taylor cos my friend used to work at the shop... I'm loving the price of guitars (and guitar accessories) in Japan... compared to Australia anyway... That being said it's also alot easier to buy really really expensive guitars here. My fav music store has "prestige floors" which sells... u guessed it "prestige guitars". Average price of a guitar on those floors would be... maybe 300,000yen, with the most expensive one I've seen 3,000,000yen. u do the math... ______________________________________ A friend of mine recently bought a DX-1, I'll check it out when I visit home in the next 2 weeks. |

Yeah, it's the first guitar that i bought. I was lucky enough to be able to start playing guitar using my friend's steel string acoustic that i borrowed for about 5 months. That gave me enough time to see whether or not i was serious about playing. I can't remember the brand or model of the guitar, but my friend said it was just a cheap one that he got as b'day present. It was well used though... but poorly maintained... The strings were green due to oxidation.... When I first started looking at guitars, I was thinking of buying a squire, but after talking to some people and reading a few forums, the general opinion I found was that the jump in quality from the Squire to the Mexican Fender was more than worth the doubling in price (The same with the jump from Mexican to the American Fenders... but the American Fenders just cost too much here in Australia). |
