Same as the man's thread, except we're ladies. :rolleyes: I'm single, I have been for my whole life. I don't usually get "crushes" but... Last night (Wednesday night, Valentines day) my show choir had a spagetti fund raiser dinner. So after that, my friend Sarah invited me to hang out at someone's house and watch a movie. At first, my mom wouldn't let me go, so I was like "Crap" lol. But then I told her that Sarah would bring me home, so she agreed. We went over Eric's (senior who's in show choir) house and there were 6 other people there, including this freshman named Miguel (yeah so what, he's only one year younger than me :P). So we watched this movie called "Simon Birch", which is about this kid who has dwarfism, and throughout the movie keeps saying that God has a plan for him, but no one takes him seriously, and he ends up risking his life to save a bunch of kids from a bus that was sinking underwater in freezing weather. Anyway, near the end of the movie when Simon took his last breath, Miguel started sniffling and wiping his eyes. I had been sitting next to him the whole movie, so I held his arm and laid my head on his shoulder and started crying too. I've been having my eye on this kid for awhile, mind you :P After a few minutes, he laid his head on mine and my hand kind of jerked cause I was surprised that he laid his head on me cause guys don't usually do that do me. So he lifted his head up, but put it back down a few minutes later. I felt so... happy. Sarah drove Miguel home first, and her car got stuck in his driveway (cause of snow) and we spent a good half hour trying to get it out. Miguel took a shovel and started to dig out one of the wheels cause it was stuck in snow, and I let him use my gloves cause he hands were freezing, and then I rubbed his hands afterwards to warm them (it was so friggin cold outside) His mom even helped us. So we finally got the car unstuck and we said our goodbyes. I hugged him and said thanks for helping Sarah's car, and me and Sarah got in the car. Right when we got in it, Sarah said, "That was so fun.. haha, I know it was bad, but it was fun". Haha, I agreed, cause it was kinda fun getting her car out, lol. I'm kinda afraid that Sarah might like Miguel too, but she's a junoir (he's a freshman, and I'm a sophomore), so yeah I dunno. And today something really bad happened to him that I can't mention (he's not hurt physically), and everyone in show choir was comforting him and stuff, and I didn't get time to talk to him. I just got to hug him a few times along with everyone else. The extremity of the thing that happened was so bad, that our rehearsals and competition was cancelled this weekend. Yeah, it's been a roller coaster these past few days. Haha, wow I typed way too much. Oh well. Bottom line, I want to get to know him more because he seems like he doesn't think I'm weird (he likes Avatar the Last Airbender like I do!!!!), which is rare. Hmm.. I need to get his cell number so we can talk.. AH SORRY, I'LL STOP TYPING NOW!! :lol: |

I'm going to post in here, because I can.. That's a really touching story.. It's not often that we "connect" with people like that.. If you like Miguel, take the first opportunity that you get, because it might not come up again. :) Consider that Sarah _may_ have a thing for him as well.. It is up to you whether you approach her and tell her about your feelings. |

Thanks alot for your replies ^^' @rubberduck: Man.. I know more than anyone else that there aren't alot of 2nd chances for these kind of things, lol. I don't want to ruin this one like I have with other ones.. @Fanny: Don't worry, I think I'm like the freakin slowest person when it comes to things like this XD. And sure, the guys can come here. It's better if they do, so they can give us girls some advice. =] |

EndtoInfinity930 It's okay if you haven't gone out yet.. you're still young. I only had one boyfriend so far... and I thought he was the one because he fitted into the "natalie dating requirements".. haha. I'm j/k.. but he's a Christian (didn't have to be, but since he is, that's good), and yes, he's a guitarist. Haha. He played the drums too, so that got my attention immediately... anyways. I'm 21 now, so, yeah, I been single for 6 years now. It was a good experience having a boyfriend, but you can never rush love that's for sure. When we went out, he wanted to hold hands, hug, blah and such, but I wasn't ready for that YET, so he just got tired of waiting for me, so we broke it off. For those who know me, I'm not exactly the type that usually into hugs and such... unless it's my parents, heh. Haha. I gues so far, I haven't found someone I can really trust yet. But yeah... when we broke off the relationship, I couldn't stop thinking about him. And I felt bad that I didn't open up to him, but then I didn't want to do something I was not comfortable yet. So, the after effects of a relationship wasn't enjoyable at all. It's a long story.. so I'll just cut to the point... :) I'm glad you found someone that has the same interests as you, just make sure you take your time to get to know Miguel before starting a possibly relationship if you do. :wink |

I'm probably just being paranoid, but I think Sarah hung out with Miguel today (we didn't have school today), because her away message on AIM was "hanging out at Curtis's house!" and Curtis is Miguel's best friend so I'm almost sure that he was there. GOSH, I hate when people don't call me to hang out!! No one seriously ever calls me (probably cause they don't know I have a cell phone, haha) @Natalie: I'm glad that you're a Christian. ^__^ Choosing guys is easier when you eliminate the ones that aren't Christian XD JK JK JK!!! It's always good to keep an eye on a Christian guy, but then it's not fair if you don't pay attention to the ones who aren't (at least, that's my way of thinking..lol). I'm not entirely sure if Miguel is.. he used to go to a religious school (not sure of the denomination), but I don't know.. maybe if him and I get a little socially closer, I could talk to him about it. |

Wahh, I know waht you mean about feeling 'paranoid'. I get that feeling all teh time when I like a guy, and other girls are around him talking or chatting. It's an annoying feeling... grr... I think that's why I don't usually get to go out with guys I like, because I tend to be quiet compare to other girls. So I guess the guys I like just end up chatting up with other girls, than with me.. *frowns* Oh yep. My parents would rather have me date a Christian guy than a non-Christian. When I go out with my guy friends, they ask me if they're a Christian or not.. and when I tell them "he is". They don't mind me going out with him. Weird eh? And if the guy isn't.. they start questioning me with loads of questions...like.. where does he live? what does he do? which school does he go to? does he have any siblings? geez...ahhh. |

It's the same way with me. I used to be really really shy and would never talk to guys. I think I'm starting to not be as shy and nervous though (obviously, because I rested on Miguel's shoulder XD). But I'm still a little quiet when it comes to these kind of things. @hebikage: Thanks for the advice... I always thought that guys should make the first move, but for the past year now, I've begun to discover that it's the opposite. nat, I also tend to be quiet and shy around guys I like. The ones that are just friends to me, I can talk normally, but around the ones I like...I get so nervous and I can't bring myself up to say too much. EndtoInfinity, I made the first move, but since we didn't know too much about each other by that time...we didn't go out. But now I'm actually quite glad I'm still single. I can feel free and just enjoy life as it is a little more. That also makes for more YUI-lover time, as well as relaxing and friend time. But I'll be willing to have atleast one boyfriend. I came to realise that I just wanted a bf before because I wanted to beat my 19 year old sister. |

Tehehe thanks guys ^^' @Natalie: I got the pics from actionpitstop.com.. they take pictures for events like show choir, basketball games, horse shows etc; @Fanny: I'm gonna try =] And apparently, I was one of the only people who wasn't invited to the little get together at Curtis's house.. I figured this becuase I was on Sarah's myspace and there were like 4 comments from people about Curtis's house. =[ |

Oh, interesting... so there's an actual photographer at your school who takes pictures at yoru schoool events? That's pretty neat. My high shcool never had anything like that because it was very academic-math/science. I wish I went to a more artsy high school actually.. high school was pretty boring for me. Then again, I was quite in school, maybe that's why it turned out 'boring' for me... heh. Hm, well, those kind of situations usually happen with me too. Not being inviited over to someone's place. But I think if when you get to know Miguel more, I'm sure you're be the first one he'll invite over to his house ;) Don't lose hope. I'll add in a prayer just for ya. Haha. :) . . Ah, guess what? The "R" guy that everyone found about in the other thread by Kyle. *Grins* Since he blahhed it out.. here's it is: I finally get to meet this him today. He found me on Friendster through my high school friend's list and seen the guitar videos I posted on my page. We started chatting through messages boxes of Friendster then MSN. The weird thing is that I haven't met him yet, but it feels like I'll know him for a long time. We just 'connect' well...hmm maybe because we constantly talk about guitars on MSN.... oh, yeah, that's the other thing I forgot to mention. He's absolutely crazy about electric guitars, especially SG Gibson & PRS guitars. And what's even weird is that he's majoring in the same program as me. Graphic design but at another university in my city, AND his birthday / month is one day after mine (mine is Sept 18, his is Sept 19), but he's a year older than me-o wait.. nope.. 364 days older, heh. So freaky... I couldn't believe his interests were so similar to mine. He lives only 10 minutes away from me.... :blink: It feels a bit strange, because usually I would get nervous, but I'm not... at this moment. At least. I still got 3 hours before the 'meet up'...Yeah, we're goign to eat lunch, movie and play some guitar at my place (my mom wants to interrogate him first, haha, j/k), and dinner before he leaves.... I hope I don't act all dumb, careless and of course, clumsy.... Wish me luck. :swt :swt :swt :swt |

whee~, she's out to meet someone...go gurl! @Endtoinfinity: oh sure, np. but it's ironic since that advice came from me, a guy who never even had a gf...but seriously, it's because of what my friends had felt...a friend of mine (gurl) asked me if another friend of ours (guy) likes her and i found out that he also likes her...a year ago. now, the girl is in regret because she didn't knew that he also likes her and they like each other and nobody made a first move. Ah, now i figured out what i have to say...it's not that girls would make the first move but at least let the guy feel that he has the "chance"...rather than being denied all the time. ~~, |

;) I'll be sure to throw one in for you too :lol: Ugh, I hate being interested in someone!! Today in church, I couldn't concentrate because Miguel kept drifting into my mind. This happens everytime I have feelings for someone.. I can't get them out of my mind. I had to try SO HARD to concentrate today. =[ Sarah was at church today, and we sat together. She told me about Curtis's house.. and how Miguel went and sat alone in a corner and was crying for an hour (because of the bad thing that happened to him that I mentioned in my first post). I said "Aww, that's so sad", and I got a little teary. Sarah said "Yeah, I think someone just needs to tell him to get over it.. I mean, I don't know if I want to be the person to do it.. because I'm the one he usually turns to when he's down like this. I just don't want to seem heartless". I forced a laugh and thought "I want so badly to be right where he is now and comfort him.. how could Sarah say something like 'get over it'?". I said aloud "Yeah, maybe just find someone who wouldn't mind telling him." And I meant to ask Sarah if she had Miguel's cell phone number, but we split up after the service in kind of a rush, and I couldn't find the right time to ask her during service. I'm thinking maybe I should send her a message on myspace. But what should I say in it?? I don't want to sound desperate or anything... I mean I trush Sarah alot, but I don't know if I'm ready to share my feelings for Miguel with her yet, because I'm confused right now. Ughhh. Kami-sama help! |

I'm really good at being a friend =] That sounds like a good idea... the next time we'll be able to talk is probably next weekend when we go on our next show choir competition. Maybe I could even ask to sit with him on the bus on the way there =] I'm praying that everything's gonna fall into place.. not just with him, but all the crap that's been going on lately. |

That does sound kind of harsh... but yep, I think you should contact Miguel too-by phone and maybe a simple meet up will do. It sounds like he needs a friend to talk to... if your friend, Sara, said that he was all alone at Curtis' house.. well didn't they go to comfort him? That seem kind of strange that they didn't do so. rubbbbbberduck
Haha. I love Wongfu Production. They're so funny. . . The 'meetup' went well. I'm happy. I'm going have a good sleep tonight. Haha. Ah geez... this day made my week already, and the week hasn't even begun yet. I have to say, this is the coolest, strangest and fun date I ever been on. I didn't feel awkward at all. His interests are similar to mine, too similar... it's kinda weird, but cool at the same time. And he's a short guy too, about 5'6"... which is cute. He got me a G-string (guitar-related of course, ahem!) because I told him a few weeks ago I snapped my Elixir string... aw, so nice of him. :rolleyes: |

Sarah's away message on AIM said that she went to the movies today. I can't help but wonder who she went with... Anyways, I'm definately going to be a true friend to Miguel for now, and I'm gonna find a way to talk to him personally (and not just with a bunch of people around) EDIT: OKAY, I'M OFFICIALLY GOING INSANE. I've been sitting here at the computer all day, feeling as if Miguel is just gonna show up online (and he doesn't even have a myspace or anything). I've been sitting here, thinking of nothing but him. I've been sitting here wondering how I'm going to talk to him next time I see him and WHAT I'm going to say to him It's midnight and I'm not tired... I can't sleep. If I tried to sleep, I would just be thinking of him and I couldn't fall asleep. I'm just sitting here, going to the same 3 or 4 websites, thinking something exciting will happen, but nothing is happening. What the heck is wrong with me. I need to go to bed. Stop listening to it and start listening to your heart again. Just stop.. Sit still and concentrate on your breathing.. Breathe in, breathe out.. This will help you think about right now, so your mind doesn't wander. Then listen to what your heart has to say :) |

Thanks everyone... Yeah, we went out from 12pm till 11pm... heh. It's crazy. I'm hoping maybe he COULD be the one. He's a Guitar freak, graphic designer, September bday, short guy :) taller than me of course.. 5'4" or 5'5", I'm 5'1"... which means I don't have to look up to talk to him. ..Natalie is :blush . .
a bottle of miguel-biotics.. Haha. that's so cute... EndtoInfinity930 Yep. Rubberduck is right... it's hard not to think about Miguel, but you'll have to try not to. That's what happened with me on my last relationship, and well it didn't turn out the way I wanted it to. It just felt like God was testing me to see if I had the patience to 'wait'. But I didn't wait. And yep, the unexpected happened, and the guy wasn't the one for me.. at least. Sometimes, when things don't turn out the way WE want it to, it's probably not meant to be. But yep, it's important to do your best and try not to dwell to much on the guy you like. It gets quite confusing, because I been there. It wasn't pretty at all. Since you're a Christian, it's better to focus your thoughts on God, He'll know what to do. Remember this verse: 4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. ^^ sound familiar.. ? Hehe. Hm, thought that might help you out... :) Sorry, I'm writing so much Anna..heh. Just to add in one more thing, a year ago, I was reading a book from Relevant Books and the author found the poem from the internet. It's a really great poem and I really connected to it after reading it for the first time, click here. The poem is called, Wait. |

Thank you swing, rubberduck, and Natalie. @swing: LOL @rubberduck: what you're saying reminds me of a song.. I don't know where you're going, and I don't why, but listen to your heart..." =] @Natalie: I'm going to try my very hardest to concentrate fully on God. It's been kinda hard for me lately, not just because of Miguel, but because of school and homework and show choir practice and show choir competitions.. just.. I've been so busy. I haven't been able to go to alot of youth group activities.. the only things I'm able to go to are Wednesday night Bible study (which I love), and I've only been to Sunday service once this month (because we get back really really early on Sunday mornings for competitions.. like 3:30am, and so I sleep and don't have to go to church). That's one of my my favorite verse, BTW =] And that poem is wonderful. I've always had a mind set of "waiting" for this kind of thing, so that shouldn't be that hard for me. |

What did you even do for that longg? play your guitars???? waht a second, is this the 'r' guy some of the members were talking bout in aonther thread? you just met this guy yesterday for teh FIRST time, and you guys hung out for that long??? werent' u'r parents concern for u? out for tha tlong?? i think he's made for you, natalie. you should just dive into his arms next time you see him and kiss him. this 'r' guy sounds like a guy version of urself, natalie, except he's a bit taller than u. whcih is a good thing, becuz it means u found someone that is like you. :) :lalala :lol: :lalala |
