Ah man this anime is AWESOME. I just finished watching it today... For those who don't know much about it: "Hi no Tori" translated is phoenix (Directly I believe it's Fire Bird or Bird of Fire...I recognized the kanji and used my Chinese to butcher everything the translation hehehe so forgive my translations...^^; ) Ah..how should I say this...Basically the great miracles of life is explored in different arcs, all fitting in 13 episodes. Man, I wish it were longer =_= I can't really describe it....The work is just...sugoi x-X It makes you wanna think too....LOL I should really stop thinking but I just can't help it especially since I just finished watching this... Personally my favorite arc thus far is the Inu-Gami one.....He's hot =.= I know it sounds strange but I've had huge crushes with guys with animal-like characteristics since I was little =P Nothing like the growling or the crawling..just..the feeling around them. First you got that beautiful look of the wolf that Inu-Gami was forced to.."wear" and then he was kinda cute when he was completly human in the first place anyway...Then he's got that elegancy of a wolf too x_X Oh yeah that reminds me of how well the animators did the movements and expressions of almost everything. When Marimo (I THINK that's her name) was in her human form, I noticed a loooooot of wolf-like characteristics as she ran and dodged and that really impressed me. Sooo..yeap! |

unfortunately i've not heard of this anime (adds to list of those to look for), but i was wondering if there was a connection between it and the Mika Nakashima song Hi no Tori... probably just a coincidence, but i didn't know if it had maybe been an opening for it at some point... |
